Effective April 24, 2007, KPRI has discontinued streaming our programming on the internet. We apologize for the sudden disruption of service. A recent decision by the Copyright Royalty Board (an agency of the US Government) will result in a catastrophic increase in the rates we pay to owners of the copyrighted music we play. The decision has been crafted in such a way that ? in our opinion – the artists who actually create the music will see little ? if any ? of this money. Most of it will go to record labels and music publishing companies.
